Kemsing Bikes is a high end and specialist cycle repair and servicing business run from a workshop in the village of Kemsing just outside of Sevenoaks, Kent. I offer servicing and repair with a focus on road, TT, gravel & touring.
I also offer specialist services such as re-bearing wheels with highly accurate bespoke tools, frame prep including reaming, facing and threading and offering totally bespoke wheel building services.

KEMSING BIKES PRICE LIST
Servicing @ £70p/h
£150 – Premium Full Bike Service
The bike is stripped down, and every moving part cleaned and rebuilt with correct lubricants / grease. The bike comes back race ready.
- Check over for damage with reporting
- All bolts/fasteners torqued, & greased where needed
- Drivetrain Ultrasonic cleaned / Waxed
- Wheels go through truing stand process checking tension, true & dish
- Brake pad alignment, cable tensions set to be responsive and smooth
- Full gears tune up and index on front and rear derailleur to make changes smooth and easy, cable change if needed
- Chain tension checked and lubed and changed if needed tyres set to correct pressure
- Fully tested
- Bottom bracket cleaned and greased
- Headset bearings cleaned and greased
- Professional clean, degrease and bike wax.
- Additional charge for disc brake bleeding
£60 – Tune Up Service
Great service for addressing mechanical issues with the working components of your bike like brake pad alignment and indexing.

- Chain tension checked and lubed and changed if needed tyres set to correct pressure
- Fully tested
Frame Preparation
Kemsing Bikes offers highly specialised work in the form of frame prep which is reaming, tapping and facing the surfaces on bikes where bearings meet the frame. This goes for bikes made from Steel, Titanium, Carbon and Aluminium.
Many bikes are not setup in the first place correctly with faced and reamed surfaces (even very high end bikes!) and so issue develop with bottom brackets, headsets etc not being fitted correctly (squarely amongst other things) and causing unnecessary friction, creaking etc.

Disc brake service/bleed – £30 per calliper (includes genuine fluid)

Headset service/replacement – £40 (plus parts)
Bottom bracket removal and fit new– £40 (plus parts)
Handlebar wrap fee £15

Kemsing Bikes offer a bespoke wheel building service. Rims, hubs and spoke can be selected by the customer or advised by Kemsing bikes to create a hand made bespoke wheels. Please enquire for details!
